Limited edition beer Fraoch 22 has been created by Alloa-based craft brewery Williams Bros in conjunction with lowland malt whisky distillery Auchentoshan. The brew is an 11% ABV version of the brewery’s Fraoch Heather Ale that’s been matured in ex-sherry casks previously used to mature Auchentoshan single malt whisky. Williams Bros claims the beer will remain fresh for up to two weeks if stored in the fridge and ‘re-zorked’.

Only 12,000 bottles of Fraoch 22 have been produced. The individually numbered Belgian-style 75cl bottles are capped with a device called a ‘zork’, which allows the bottle to be re-sealed.
