Named for Islay's Traigh Bhan beach, known to locals as the Singing Sands, this 19-year-old expression is the first age-statement addition to the permanent Ardbeg range since the introduction of Ardbeg 10 Year Old in 2000. Matured in a combination of American oak and Oloroso sherry casks, this Islay single malt is produced in limited batches as an annual release.
The nose has Ardbeg's renowned peat reek with notes of chilli chocolate and paprika spice, before waves of toasted oak on the palate alongside roasted tea leaves and more Islay peat. The finish is long and rich with lingering smoky notes.
