This single malt offering from Ardmore is bottled by Gordon & Macphail and arrives at a cask strength 57.9% abv. It was aged for 14 years in first fill bourbon barrels. It was distilled in June 1991 and bottled in May 2006. A pale gold single malt, this Elgin whisky is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.
Pears, wood smoke, and orchard apple arrive on the nose. The palate is one of citrusy lemon, ground pepper, and exotic fruits. The finish is warming, long, and gives subtle hints of lemon, pears, and chilli.
