Distilled at Bruichladdich distillery, this release commemorates the finding of a small yellow submarine on Islay which apparently belonged to the MoD. This expression was distilled in 1991 and was put down to mature in oak for 14 years, a period of which was spent finishing in Rioja wine casks. The whisky was then bottled at a strength of 46% abv.
