Linkwood Pure Malt Description
Distilled in the outskirts of Elgin at Linkwood, this bottle of 'Pure Highland Malt Whisky' bears the name of proprietors John McEwan & Co Ltd, owner of the Chequers brand of blended Scotch whisky. The distillery was purchased by DCL in 1932 and was later licensed to John McEwan & Co Ltd when the firm became part of DCL. Images of the distillery featured prominently in advertisements for Chequers, often referred to as 'our distillery by Elgin in Morayshire'. Back to top
