This Japanese malt whisky would be termed a grain whisky in Scotland due to its method of production. The malted barley is distilled in a Coffey still which is normally used in grain whisky production and in UK law, Scotch malt whisky must be distilled in a pot still. This unique expression was introduced to the Nikka core range in 2014 and is presented at a strength of 45% abv. Back to top
