Hanyu 2000 Single Cask #9500 Ichiro's Malt Card 2 of Clubs Description
Founded in 1941 by Isouji Akuto, Hanyu distillery was located in the north west of Tokyo in Saitama prefecture. Producing single malt whiskies from the 1980s, the distillery stopped production in 2000 before being dismantled in 2004 with the remaining stocks being recovered and purchased by Ichiro Akuto - the founds grandson. This series of card bottlings were created with each release having a playing card on the label to encourage people to collect the whole range of bottlings. The 2 of Clubs bottling was matured in Japanese Mizunara hogshead with there being only 318 bottles produced after having been matured for around just seven years. Back to top
