Highland Park 1964 50 Year Old Description
Distilled at Highland Park distillery on Orkney, this bottling was released in 2018. Produced using just two casks of whisky that were distilled in 1964, the spirit has been matured in Spanish oak sherry seasoned hogsheads until 2008 when the casks were sampled and determined to be of fantastic quality. In early 2010, the two casks were brought together and married together and at this point, they introduced an amount of the 1960 vintage 50 year old that was previously released. It was laid down for a further eight years before being bottled in 2018 where they yielded just 274 bottles with each of the bottles being signed by Max McFarlane, Edrington's longest serving whisky maker.
