Ballantine's Hard Fired Description
Produced by Ballantine's, this expression has been created using various single malts and grain whiskies from distilleries across Scotland which has been matured in a second-fill American oak barrels for an undisclosed length of time. This release has been 'hard fired' which means the blend has been removed from the barrels for no more than a day whilst the barrel is heavily charred before the blend is re-introduced to the cask for a number of months.
