The first-ever bottling for the Keepers of the Quaich was donated by Strathisla, and was selected by Keeper of the Quaich Chairman Peter Prentice. In 1998, he selected an 18-year-old refill sherry butt and bottled the whisky at an eye-watering cask strength of 59.4% abv without any chill-filtration. The cask yielded 529 bottles which were released for the KOTHQ’s Autumn banquet in 2016.
Fun fact: 1998 was the year Doddie won the Premiership Title with the Newcastle Falcons.
Each winner of a bottle from Doddie's auction will receive two complimentary Glencairn glasses, branded with the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation logo (pictured on homepage)!
