Dalmore Luceo - Travel Retail Description
Distilled at the Dalmore distillery in Alness, this release was produced for the travel retail market. This whisky takes its name from the motto of Clan Mackenzie, "Luceo Non Uro" - I shine, not burn, whose descendants took over Dalmore distillery in 1867. Bottled at a strength of 40% abv. this expression was first matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undisclosed length of time before being transferred for finishing in Apostles sherry casks which have previously held sherry for 30 years.
