Distilled at the Deanston distillery on the banks of the River Teith, just eight miles from the historic city of Stirling, this bottling was originally released for the travel retail market. This expression was matured for a decade and produced using a combination of casks, it was created using single malt which had been matured initially in ex-bourbon casks which was then finished in Bordeaux red wine casks along with whisky which had spent the full maturation period in Bordeaux red wine casks. It has been bottled free from chill filtration at a strength of 46.3% abv. Back to top
