Ron Zacapa XO Centenario Description
Zacapa rum is matured in the Highlands of Guatemala which is 2,300 meters above sea level which is much cooler and allows the liquid to mature much slower in the barrels. They use the 'Sistema Solera' art of creating their rum which encourages the blending of different ages. This expression blends together rums aged between 10 and 25 years old that have been aged in bourbon and sherry casks. These have then been finished in French oak cognac casks before being bottled at a strength of 40% abv. Back to top
