Distilled at Wolfburn distillery in Thurso, the distillery has an association with the Mey Highland Games which is yearly event hosted by HRH Prince Charles. 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the games but unfortunately, due to coronavirus, the decision was made to cancel the event. Not to be defeated, Wolfburn decided to go ahead with a special 'postponed' release which has been matured for six years in a combination of both sherry and bourbon casks before being bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colouring at a strength of 46% abv.
