Distilled at Bruichladdich on Islay, this super heavily peated expression is part of the Octomore range and was released for the travel retail market. This release has been crafted exclusively using Scottish grown barley and peated to 96.9 ppm. This expression was distilled in 2010 and was laid down to mature in first fill ex-bourbon barrels for four years before the spirit was then transferred to Sauternes wine casks for a further four years of maturation. A limited edition release, this whisky has been bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings at a strength of 56.9% abv. Back to top
