BenRiach 10th Anniversary 10 year old
BenRiach 10th Anniversary 10 year old Description
BenRiach became independent in 2004 when the distillery was acquired from Chivas Brother by Billy Walker, Wayne Kieswetter and Geoff Bell. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, BenRiach are releasing a special limited edition bottling. Crafted from four bourbon barrels distilled and filled during the first week that production re-started under the new owners in September 2004. The style is Classic Speyside, non-peated, and quintessentially BenRiach. This is a unique, one-off bottling, from a very limited production. Bottled at 46% abv and as you would expect from BenRiach, it is non-chill filtered with no additional colouring added.
The BenRiach Distillery is situated in the 'Heart of Speyside', seperating the village of Rothes and the town of Elgin, in the North-East of Scotland. The Spey Valley, in which the BenRiach Distillery was built by John Duff in 1898, is home to many of Scotland's great whiskies, but BenRiach has its own uniqueness borne from the particular methods and skills of the men who craft the whisky, the ingredients they use, the distinctive copper stills and the high quality barrels selected for maturation.
