About Elements of Islay

Elements of Islay champions the very best of whisky distilled on Scotland’s fifth largest island, and historic whisky makers’ hub: Islay. As to be expected, their creations are notably peaty, with a distinctive flair imbued by head blender Oliver Chilton. Independently bottled, their unique scientific-style labels celebrate the ‘elemental’ nature of Islay malt whiskies and the true alchemy of blended whisky. The drams are even bottled in glassware named a ‘pharmacy’. Each release from Elements of Islay is bottled at cask strength, and free from chill filtration, with natural colour.

History

Islay has a special place in the heart of whisky lovers, as host of the Feis Ile festival and a whisky production hub since the 14th century. With nine whisky distilleries on the island, all producing a distinctively smoky dram, Elements of Islay was conceived to celebrate all that the Queen of the Hebrides has to offer – whisky wise. Founded by the London-based Elixir Distillers in 2008, their range has since included a whisky made from Scotch from every distillery on Islay.
