About Monkey Shoulder

Monkey Shoulder has been changing the face of the blended malt whisky industry since 2003. Originally it was created to elevate whisky-based mixed drinks to a new level. In doing so, Monkey Shoulder has become that favourite of mixologists and whisky-enthusiasts the whole world over.

In 2003, the idea of exclusively blending malt whiskies was a novel one. Blends usually included some grain whisky. But Monkey Shoulder’s blend didn’t, and ended up creating a new category of Scotch.

History

William Grant & Sons has been distilling the finest Scotch whiskies since 1887. Using three of its Speyside single malts, Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Whisky was born in 2003. Recently, it has created another Smokey Monkey Shoulder expression, designed to pair the classic flavour of peat smoke with Monkey Shoulder.
