Ballot Open: Highland Park 54 Year Old
We are excited to present a once-in-a-lifetime ballot to celebrate Highland Park's 225th anniversary: their oldest whisky to date. Distilled back in 1968, four refill butts and six refill hogsheads were filled, which were then combined in 2008 and refilled into first fill European sherry butts. The liquid was then finished for a further 14 years in ex-sherry casks. This limited-edition and visually striking release is limited to just 225 bottles globally, a nod to their 225 years of distilling. Highland Park 54 Year Old showcases a unique harmony of complex flavours between heather honey, rich peat and spiced dried fruit. Bottled at a natural strength of 46.9% abv., free from chill filtration and a natural autumnal colour.
The liquid comes in a bespoke embossed bottle, in a stunning presentation box crafted from fine Scottish oak wood. Designed by award-winning craftsperson, John Galvin, the wood has been carved to replicate the cliffs of Yesnaby in Orkney - the home of Highland Park. The bottle itself is inspired by the ancient monoliths of the Ring of Brodgar, and was devised by Glass Designer, Michael Rudak.
Inside the box, you will find a personal invitation to visit the Highland distillery for a unique VIP experience.
The spectacularly rare bottle will be able to purchase via ballot for members of The W Club. The ballot will open at 12pm on 23rd February, and remain open for 72 hours. The application will require a £5,000 deposit to progress to the next stage of allocation, our Prestige team will then contact you after the ballot closes early next week.
