Lochlea Our Barley
Sitting alongside their seasonal limited edition bottlings is Our Barley, Lochlea's first core single malt expression. Matured by Production Director John Campbell in three cask types - bourbon, Oloroso sherry and STR - Our Barley is free from chill filtration and has no colouring. A complex and classy dram to add to their collection.
Aromas of pear, boiled sweets, fresh cut grass and orange peel before a peppery palate of macadamia nuts and baked rye bread, finishing up long, orangey and waxy.
anCnoc Peated Sherry Cask
A fresh take on the delicious sherry cask finish, this limited edition expression combines dark fruit flavour, with earthy peat to create a bold and surprising single malt. Hand crafted by a small, passionate team of distillers, the time-honoured methods of Knockdhu distillery shine in this fabulous balance of two notably strong flavours. Presented at 43% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.
The nose opens with sweet honey and tropical fruits, with hints of cinnamon and toffee, all enveloped in delicate campfire smoke. The rich palate offers notes of toffee apple, warming spices, deep vanilla and subtle peat smoke, before leading to a long finish of wood smoke, caramel and more sweet vanilla.
Speyburn 10 Year Old
This Speyside single malt hails from the Speyburn distillery in Rothes and is matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks to create bold flavours and a smooth finish. Bottled at 40% abv.
The nose is fresh and clean with some zesty lemon notes. The palate opens with sweet toffee and butterscotch, leading to a long and smooth finish.
