Flavour Focused: Introducing InchDairnie's inaugural signature single malt, KinGlassie

A dram like no other
Crafted with peat sourced from St Fergus in Aberdeenshire, KinGlassie is the inaugural signature single malt from InchDairnie that packs a smoky punch while maintaining a harmonious balance with its richly fruity notes. That smoke? It’s not just there for show, it’s measured in Phenol Parts per Million (ppm), and the KinGlassie malt comes in hot at around 50 ppm.
At InchDairnie, the whisky-making process leans heavily on science and engineering, and the peat levels for the malted barley are kept flexible between 40 and 60 ppm. This natural variation, combined with outdoor fermentation that dances with the Scottish weather, means every batch of KinGlassie is released as a Vintage.

Distilled just once a year, and for only a few days each December, KinGlassie will have spent five years resting in ex-Bourbon American oak casks before taking a three-year nap in Amontillado casks. Bottled year by year, you should have a peek at the stopper to find out when yours was born.

Give it a taste
Dreamt up with chilly winter evenings in mind; picture yourself by the hearth, smoke curling gently through the room, the air thick with warmth and comfort. That’s the spirit of KinGlassie. Using mainland peat, it brings that nostalgic, fireside hug straight into the glass.
Double distilled and double condensed for maximum copper contact, and matured in two types of cask for even more depth, the dram is a lovely amber colour. It gently unfurls with billows of tobacco smoke layered with roasted almonds on the nose, before sinking into the palate with a leathery chewiness that leaves your mouth coated in smoky velvet.
