Tamdhu 2006 is a bright, exciting sherry bomb bursting with sweet and spicy flavours. Distilled in April 2006, this single malt spent 15 years maturing in an American oak first-fill sherry cask. Bottled at a powerful 56.7% abv, the cask yielded just 336 bottles of this striking Speyside dram. Retailing at £250, this expression will be available to buy in store and online from Monday 25th April, and launches with a special W Club promotion. The liquid boasts a beautiful and inviting cask-imparted mahogany colour. On the nose, there is orange peel, rich spiced fruit loaf, and sweet chocolate Brazil nuts. The palate is exceptionally well-balanced with flavours of dried fruits, soft spice, and dry sherry notes. These sherry notes continue in the long finish, complemented by plenty of spiced apricot jam and vanilla. Tamdhu Distillery was founded in 1897 on the banks of the River Spey and has produced some of the finest sherry can buy for over 100 years. Tamdhu has always operated with a goal of creating some of the best single malt whiskies in the world, a goal that we believe that the distillery continues to smash with every new expression that is released.
