Upcoming Event: Arran Roadshow
The roadshow will be kicking off tonight, Tuesday 18th October, at our Paternoster store. The roadshow will then visit our Oxford, Nottingham, Trentham Gardens, Manchester, York, and Edinburgh stores, before finishing up at our Inverness store on Thursday 27th October.
The whiskies that will be sampled at the Roadshow are:
Arran Barrel Reserve
This non-age-statement expression was matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled at 43% abv. Wonderfully sweet and fruity, this sweet dram is bursting with sweet notes of orchard fruit, complemented by gentle maritime notes.
Arran 10 Year Old
The classic expression of the Arran Malt, this 10-year-old captures the fresh and unique island style of the western isle's eponymous distillery. This is an expression that embodies everything that Arran whisky is all about.
Arran Quarter Cask
Distilled at the Arran distillery at Lochranza in the north of the island, this single malt is matured for seven years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels before spending a further two years in quarter casks, holding just 125 litres. These smaller casks allow for more interaction between the whisky and the wood, giving a more intense maturation. Bottled at 56.2% abv, this expression joined the Arran core range in 2019.
Arran Sherry Cask
This 2019 addition to the Arran core range is distilled at Lochranza on the island off the west coast of Scotland. Matured in first fill sherry hogsheads, this expression is a return to the style of some of the earliest Arran single malts. Presented at a natural cask strength of 5.8% abv, this single malt is free form chill filtration and artificial colouring.
Arran 21 Year Old
An exceptional addition to Arran's core range of single malts. The expression has matured in sherry butts to create an exceptionally sweet and refined dram. This is the oldest release in Arran's core range to date. An exceptional single malt that is free from both artificial colouring and chill filtration.
