Glen Scotia Whisky Dinner Ardshiel 2019
Your evening will begin with a welcome cocktail before you take your seat in the Ardshiel Hotel. You’ll then be joined by a special guest host whilst you taste an amazing 3 course meal made with the finest local Kintyre produce, paired with a selection of Glen Scotia drams and your opportunity to taste the 2019 Single Cask Festival bottle before anyone else.
Hidden Gems Tasting
The following morning you’ll have the opportunity to visit the wonderful dunnage warehouse to experience a taste of Glen Scotia through the ages. The session will start with some more modern spirit working back through some true hidden gems of the Glen Scotia archives and warehouses.
Hosted by Glen Scotia distillery Manager Iain McAlister, this tasting is destined to be something special.

Master Blender, Michael Henry will take you through the component parts of the wonderful Glen Scotia Victoriana with plenty of samples along the way. This is a small intimate tasting in the Manager's Office section within the shop and a true insight into the workings of what and more importantly the why of each element of Glen Scotia Victoriana.

In the afternoon you’ll be invited to a tasting of the Glen Scotia core range from Double Cask all the way through to a special dram of the brilliant 25 Year Old.
Free Distillery Tour
During the festival you’ll have the opportunity to see around the Glen Scotia Distillery. You’ll follow the spirit throughout the distillery and meet some of the small, dedicated team who take the time required to produce our distinct Glen Scotia single malts.
From mashtun to warehouse, your tour guide will give you an insight into the whisky and the history of Glen Scotia and Campbeltown. After the tour there’ll be a free dram of Glen Scotia Double Cask waiting for you in the Old Kiln room.

Glen Scotia 2003 Rum Cask Finish 2019 Festival Edition
This limited edition single malt from Glen Scotia was distilled from peated barley in 2003 and matured for a full fifteen years, including time in a rum puncheon, before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 51.3% abv in celebration of the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2019.
The nose is sweet and fruity with a slight prickle and rich plum notes. The palate brings more sweet fruits with a maritime salt aspect, rum toffee and a distinctive peat note in the finish.
Glen Scotia 25 Year Old
Matured in the finest American oak barrels and married in first-fill bourbon casks before bottling, this Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia distillery has spent a quarter of a century coming of age.
The nose brings maritime notes akin to a bracing Atlantic breeze. The palate offers red apple, orange peel and vanilla syrup with a sweet caramel note, before a long lingering finish with spicy ground ginger.

Glen Scotia 2008 Ruby Port Finish

This limited edition single malt from Glen Scotia has been bottled for the 2018 Campbeltown Malts Festival, which takes place in May each year. This expression is distilled from peated barley and matured for ten years with six months in ruby port pipes, before bottling at a natural cask strength of 57.8% abv.
The nose is salty, with Campbeltown's distinctive sea spray and more fruity notes from the port pipes. The palate is sweet with salty aspects at full strength, while the finish is spicy with smoky notes.
Glen Scotia 2006 Bourbon Cask Whisky Shop Exclusive

Distilled in December 2006 and matured in a single first-fill ex-bourbon barrel for eleven years, this Campbeltown single malt was bottled exclusively for The Whisky Shop in April 2018. Just 212 bottles have been filled, each one presented at a cask strength of 55.6% abv.
The nose has juicy fruit notes with a trace of vanilla and a subtle maritime influence. The palate is smooth, with sweet notes from the bourbon cask adding to the classic salty Campbeltown character. The finish brings a gentle spice with oak notes lingering.
Glen Scotia Victoriana
Each cask of this Campbeltown Single Malt is selected for its rare character and exceptional maturity. Finished in deep charred oak before bottling straight from the cask, this non chill-filtered expression combines subtle wood and vanilla flavours with a full-bodied spicy fruit aroma.
The nose is elegant with oak and creme brulee notes leading to caramelised fruit and polished oak. The palate is sweet and concentrated with blackcurrant jam, subtle wood and vanilla, while the finish is clean and sweet with cocoa tones.
Glen Scotia 15 Year Old
Gently matured in the finest American Oak barrels for 15 years before bottling, this Campbeltown Single Malt Whisky offers hints of vanilla oak on the nose, interwoven with the subtle notes of sea spray and spicy aromatic fruits.
