The 2021 edition from Jim Beam's much-anticipated, annual Booker's True Barrel Bourbon releases - always cask strength and without chill filtration. This batch is named in honour of retired Jim Beam employee Mike Donohoe. Without Mike, Booker’s Bourbon wouldn’t exist today. Released in incredibly limited quantities, this expression has been matured for 6 years, 11 months and 4 days in American white oak before bottling at an eye-watering strength of 62.65% abv.
Plenty of vanilla and oak on the nose, followed by a sweet and creamy palate with flavours of candied almonds, citrus and peanut butter. This bourbon has a long and drying finish with a hint of cocoa at the end.
