An independent bottling of Bowmore single malt from Darkness that oversees the delicious marriage between smoke and sherry. This 17-year-old Islay expression has been finished in a Moscatel sherry octave cask, allowing for huge sherry-bomb notes, before being bottled at a sturdy 53.6% abv.
The nose is sweet with buttered pancakes topped with blueberries, alongside a whisper of smoke. The palate offers cinnamon buns and baked apples, alongside festive spices and log fire smoke. Cinnamon spice lingers in the finish, which then mellows into soft fruits.
