This single malt Scotch is the first chapter of a limited edition trio of releases from Compass Box Scotch Whiskymakers. Designed to challenge the 'myths and legends' that are often perceived as the rules of Scotch whisky, this release is produced with two parcels of Highland single malt whisky, each from Balblair distillery, but with markedly different flavour profiles. The Whiskymakers believe that the marriage of the parcels in this single malt affords a new understanding of what the distillery can produce. Crafted with 15-year-old, 16-year-old and 22-year-old whisky, this first release is bottled at 46% abv and limited to just 4,394 bottles worldwide.
The nose is light and fruity with a touch of oak spice. The palate has a rich creamy character with malty cereal notes, ripe orchard fruits and salted caramel, before a long and satisfying finish.
