An independent bottling of Linkwood single malt from Darkness that oversees the delicious marriage between spice and sherry. This 19-year-old expression has been finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask, allowing for huge sherry-bomb notes, before being bottled at a sturdy 48.5% abv.
The nose has dried fruits - apricots and dates - alongside sweet baked goods and cinnamon spice. Damson jam is rich on the palate, with a mixture of raisins, gingerbread and orange zest. A crack of black pepper is noted on the finish, with a big, sweet burst of rum-raisin ice cream.
