40 Year Old

Lying on the banks of the River Teith, Deanston distillery is housed in a former cotton mill around which the village of Deanston was built. This 40 year old expression from the Highland distillery is comprised of spirit from whisky refill casks and Oloroso sherry butts. Only 480 bottles have been produced and are presented non chill-filtered at 45.6% abv.

The nose has Deanston's characteristic rich honey and tropical fruit, with rich oak, dried fruit and vanilla fudge underlying. The palate is sweet with rich heather honey, ripe pear and apples, sweet malt, creamy vanilla fudge and hints of citrus and oak, before a lingering honey and fruit finish.
