Our first Digital Drams of 2023 will be a celebration of Burns Night with Oliver Chilton, Head Blender at Elixir Distillers.
The tastings will take place on the 26th of January at 7.30pm and will focus on three releases from Elements of Islay and a Port Askaig 28 Year Old.
Elements of Islay champions the very best of whisky distilled on Scotland’s fifth largest island, and historic whisky makers’ hub: Islay. As to be expected, their creations are notably peaty, with a distinctive flair imbued by head blender Oliver Chilton. Independently bottled, their unique scientific-style labels celebrate the ‘elemental’ nature of Islay malt whiskies and the true alchemy of blended whisky. The drams are even bottled in glassware named a ‘pharmacy’. Each release from Elements of Islay is bottled at cask strength, and free from chill filtration, with natural colour.
W Club members pay less for this tasting and shipping is included. Each pack will contain 3cl samples of:
- Elements of Islay Bourbon Cask
- Elements of Islay Cask Edit
- Elements of Islay Sherry Cask
- Port Askaig 28 Year Old
This event is hosted on Zoom. You'll receive a link to the event in your tasting pack and by email prior to the event. If you join before the event is due to start you'll enter the waiting room until being admitted to the tasting with all other participants.
Can't attend on the night? Don't worry! Our events are recorded and the video made publicly available the day after the tasting. The recording can then be accessed via the link in the pack, so you can purchase and enjoy in your own time or give as a gift to be enjoyed any time!
