This Speyside single malt was distilled in 2010 at Benrinnes distillery. After eleven years in a single bourbon barrel, this expression was bottled in 2022 by family-run independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the First Editions series. Only 289 bottles have been filled at a preferred strength of 46% abv, free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.
Aromas of icing sugar, barley sugar, and crystalised fruits fill the nose. The palate is rich with notes of butterscotch and bright citrus. The finish is long, malty, and oaky.
