Distilled at Islay's Caol Ila distillery in 2010, this single cask expression is part of the First Editions series from independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. of Glasgow. Matured for 6 years in a refill hogshead before bottling in 2017, only 428 bottles have been produced. Presented at a strength of 46% abv, free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.The nose is powerful with sweet vanilla and honey, seaweed and iodine appearing late. The palate is smooth and creamy with stewed fruits and butterscotch before a long, lingering, peaty finish.
