This Speyside single malt was distilled in 2011 at Craigellachie distillery before spending the next eight years maturing in a single wine barrel. Bottled in 2019 by family-run independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the First Editions series, this expression produced just 330 bottles at a strength of 46% abv.
The nose has sweet apple and strawberry notes with a lemon zest edge. The palate brings more sweetness with salted caramel, followed by pepper and spices. The finish is long with lingering pepper notes.
