This Glen Scotia 10 year old Limited Edition 2021 is a single malt whisky created to celebrate the Campbeltown Malts Festival which takes place annually in May. This lowland whisky is the result of a series of unpeated distillations from between 2009 and 2011, aged 10 years in first fill bourbon barrels. The casks were vatted together and finished for five months in first fill Bordeaux Medoc red wine casks. Under the care of Michael Henry, Master Blender of Glen Scotia, the whisky was finally married into refill bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength 56.1% abv
On the nose, honey and fresh red berries, with a hint of salt. The palate reveals sweet honey with apples and strawberries, and notes of oak and vanilla. A long and spicy finish.
