Knowledge Bar

Glenglassaugh distillery was established in 1875 but has spent almost as much time closed as it has open. The distillery fell foul of a downturn in the market in the early 20th century, closing for 53 years and then again in 1986 for 20 years. The distillery was resurrected in the late 2000s and purchased by the BenRIach Distillery Co. in 2013 before being sold along with BenRIach and GlenDronach to Jack Daniel's owner Brown Forman in 2016. Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, we will arrange for a return via courier and issue a full refund.

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

Please note that any personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days from the day you received delivery. Items that are bespoke or personalised cannot be cancelled, and will only be returnable if faulty.

In the event of cancellation, the cost of returning your items will be your responsibility and not that of The Whisky Shop. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed on receipt of the items.
