This Glenglassaugh Revival SIngle Malt is the first whisky to be made at the distillery since it reopened in 2008 after 22 years of silence. This expression has been matured in a mixture of first and refill bourbon casks, this was finished for 6 months in first-fill oloroso sherry butts.
A sweet nose with chocolate, caramel, nuts and sherry. Some fresh berries and a little oak develop into a sweet and creamy taste, with more fruits and continued chocolate sweetness. A whisper of oak leads to a warming finish, sherry, caramel and spice are all present.
