Part of the pretigious Exceptional Single Cask series from The Macallan, this single cask release was distilled in 1993 and matured for 25 years in a European oak sherry hogshead. Bottled in September 2018 a natural cask strength of 51.4% abv, just 237 bottles were produced from cask #3917.
The nose comprises a summer berry tart: raspberries, blackurrants and almonds. The palate is chewy and sweet with toffee and vanilla, followed by a cinammon spice. The berry fruits are long lasting in the palate, alongside oak spice.
