Distilled in October 2004 at Blair Athol distillery, this single malt Scotch was laid down in a single cask to mature in a single Sherry butt for 16 years. Bottled in January 2021, this expression was produced by renowned independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. for the Old Malt Cask series. Just 240 bottles were filled, each one at Hunter Laing's preferred bottling strength of 50% abv.
The nose is sweet with stewed plums, vanilla and crème anglaise, making way for a smooth and mellow palate imbued with more vanilla and peaches. The finish is long and satisfying with a fruity aftertaste.
