Distilled at Bowmore in 2001, this Islay single malt has been matured in a single cask for 17 years before bottling by independent family-run firm Hunter Laing & Co. of Glasgow. Presented at a preferred strength of 50% abv without chill filtration or artificial colouring, just 122 bottles have been filled.
The nose is fruity with passion fruit and apple, atop bonfire smoke. The palate has sweet mango and caramel sauce with iconic Islay peat, before a long and lingering finish with more smoked fruit notes.
