Distilled at Speyside's Mortlach distillery in June 2007 and matured in a red wine barrel for 14 years before being bottled in February 2022, this single cask expression forms part of independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co's Old Malt Cask range. Just 283 bottles have been produced, each one at a strength of 50% abv.
The nose is full of apples, lemon zest, and vanilla. The palate has floral notes alongside hints of strawberries and toffee before leading into the long, lingering, peppery finish.
