Knowledge Bar

In the 1950's, Alistair Cunningham and Arthur Warren of Hiram Walker invented a new type of pot still with adjustable plates within the neck of the still which could be moved to help create different styles of whisky for blending purposes - the "Lomond" still.Scapa is one of very few distilleries that continues to use a Lomond still today. Stand beside it in the stillhouse and enjoy the beautiful views out of the large picture window across the bay. Back to top
