Benromach Single Malt Whisky
One of the few independently owned distilleries remaining in Scotland, and the smallest distillery in Speyside, Benromach was established in 1898 on the outskirts of the ancient town of Forres. A decade after United Distillers decided to mothball the site in 1983, it was reopened in its current incarnation, and bottled as a single malt for the first time since the 1900s.
These days, visitors are welcomed to its enjoy the Malt Whisky Centre, where they can sample the older style of Speyside malt under its various modern-day guises including peated, organic, 100% golden promise, and finished in various types of fortified and wine casks.
