About Linkwood

A gem in the jewel of Diageo’s portfolio, Linkwood is presented as a part of their Flora & Fauna range (as a 12-year-old) and can regularly be found as an independent bottling. The liquid is coveted by blenders and single malt connoisseurs alike. Their expressions are renowned for having a thick texture and yet retaining it’s fresh and light flavour.

History

The distillery was established in 1821 by Peter Brown, with production beginning in 1824 after the 1823 Excise Act was passed. The distillery was rebuilt in full alongside the old building in 1972 when the then-DCL company took over. In 2012, the distillery was upgraded by adding six new washbacks and two new stills.
