A reasonably modern distillery, Tormore distillery was built in 1959; the first new distillery in Speyside during the 20th century. The building itself was intended as a showpiece, an eye-catching Nordic fairy tale house complete with fountain, winding lake and lush green landscaping. Although the distillery has a reputation for beauty, the single malt whiskies that are produced on site are as bold as ever.
