SirDavis

American Whisky

Award-winning American whisky founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and crafted in partnership with Moët Hennessy and five time International Whisky Competition Master Distiller of the Year, Dr. Bill Lumsden. Like nothing ever before it; reimagine whisky.

Introducing SirDavis

Four generations from when Davis Hogue made whisky on his land, his legacy is honoured by his great-granddaughter, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

With a unique mash bill of 51% rye and 49% barley, the spirit was treated to a secondary maturation in sherry casks, which has rounded out rye’s characteristically spicy notes with structured flavours of juicy red fruit. In a nod to Beyoncé’s roots, SirDavis is finished, blended and bottled in her home state of Texas.

Best served neat, with a drop of distilled water or on a rock. In terms of pairings, the whisky holds complex aromas which enhance traditional whisky accompaniments like cured meats, dry-aged steak, and Texas BBQ, as well as modern dishes such as fresh sushi, sashimi, uni, and truffle risotto.

"I think together we've risen to something that I'm hugely excited about. And I think whisky drinkers are going to be blown away because it's really quite different from anything I've tasted before." - Dr. Bill Lumsden

Whisky has been Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s drink of choice for years, attracted not only by its sophisticated taste, but also by the inherent sense of strength and confidence it inspires. Mrs. Knowles-Carter sought out Moët Hennessy and renowned Master Distiller, Dr. Bill Lumsden, to help craft a one-of-a kind flavour profile that reflected her whisky ideals. After years of research and blind tastings, they finally came up with the perfect liquid profile that delights both seasoned whisky connoisseurs as well as newer category enthusiasts.

She came to uncover that her paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, had been a successful moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition and would stash his bottles in the empty knots of cedar trees on his farm for friends and kin to find and enjoy. She quickly understood why her own love for whisky ran so deep. Her affinity for whisky was fated and SirDavis was born.
