Released only twice a year in limited batches by Buffalo Trace Distillery, this is a rare treat that's famously elusive amongst bourbon aficionados. Stagg Jr is uncut, unfiltered and aged for nearly a decade in American white oak casks to gather the bold character that is reminiscent of the distillery's founder, George T. Stagg. Presented at a robust barrel strength of 65.05% abv. You can expect delectable flavours of brown sugar and milk chocolate, on a layer of bold rye spice. There are various categories of American whiskey but in general they are distinguished by region (e.g. Tennessee Whiskey) or type (e.g. Bourbon Whiskey). The type of American whiskey is determined by the mash, or mix of grains, it uses. Common types of American Whiskey include:

Rye whiskey - made from a mash that consists of at least 51% rye;
Bourbon whiskey - made for mash that consists of at least 51% corn;
Corn whiskey - made from a mash that consists of at least 80% corn.

Choose our Reduce & Recycle service during checkout to remove any unwanted gift cartons, tubes or boxes, from your order. We'll send them to be recycled and you'll save paper, carbon emissions and time at the recycling centre!

All orders are sent using tracked courier services, and we'll provide a link to track your order via email when it is dispatched so you can check on the progress of your items every step of the way.

Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, we will arrange for a return via courier and issue a full refund.

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

Please note that any personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days from the day you received delivery. Items that are bespoke or personalised cannot be cancelled, and will only be returnable if faulty.

In the event of cancellation, the cost of returning your items will be your responsibility and not that of The Whisky Shop. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed on receipt of the items.
