Teeling Whiskey Company and Galway Bay Brewery, one of Ireland’s much-loved craft breweries, have been collaborating for years on what has now become the cult classic “200 fathoms” – a modern interpretation of an Imperial Stout, aged just once annually in Teeling’s Small Batch barrels. Now, that collaboration has come full circle with the release Teeling Stout Cask Finish Irish Whiskey. The casks that initially aged Teeling whiskey and then 200 Fathoms Imperial Stout have made their way back to Teeling to be filled with more Irish whiskey for a finishing period of three months.
The result? A magnificent and unique maturation that provides the imbiber with indulgent notes of dark chocolate from the stout to the whisky. Sour fruits and black cherries fill the palate before leading into a long, creamy finish with notes of honeycomb and cream. Your perfect Irish coffee has arrived!
