Weetwood have many years experience in using malted barley in brewing their ales, and now they are releasing their first, and Cheshire's first, single malt whisky - The Cheshire. A creamy new make spirit is distilled from English malted barley in small batches, which has then been laid down for at least three years in smaller STR American oak quarter casks for more flavour uptake than standard cask sizes in shorter time frames. This First Release is finished off in European oak to add depth of flavour, and bottled free from chill filtration and at natural colour at 46% abv. The dram opens with baked apple and custard, with a lingering tropical and floral note of jasmine and orange blossom. The palate is malty and creamy, highlighted with nuttiness, tobacco bitterness and orchard fruits. You are left with a warm pepperiness, mellowed out with sweet caramelised pineapple. Read More

Choose our Reduce & Recycle service during checkout to remove any unwanted gift cartons, tubes or boxes, from your order. We'll send them to be recycled and you'll save paper, carbon emissions and time at the recycling centre!

Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, we will arrange for a return via courier and issue a full refund.

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

Please note that any personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days from the day you received delivery. Items that are bespoke or personalised cannot be cancelled, and will only be returnable if faulty.

In the event of cancellation, the cost of returning your items will be your responsibility and not that of The Whisky Shop. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed on receipt of the items.
