For instance, each cask used to blend Johnnie Walker Blue Label is hand-picked by Johnnie Walkers master blender, Jim Beveridge; each selected for their exceptional quality, character and flavour. Only 1 in 10,000 casks contain whisky of sufficient quality and character to be chosen to become part of this extraordinary whisky. Jim then blends these whiskies, selected from the four corners of Scotland, to skilfully blend the award winning dram that we all know and love around the world.

    The result; a bold flavoured whisky that encompasses everything the Johnnie Walker family believe and value about true Scottish whisky. Big flavours give this whisky its reputation. Deep smoky tones layered in sweet honey and fruit give this dram a rich yet wonderfully smooth character.

    Nose – “a mellow, rounded nose, with a dry smokiness (a JOHNNIE WALKER signature flavour) mixed with raisin sweetness”

    Palate – “The first sip reveals a velvety mouth-feel, then an explosion of flavour - hazelnuts, honey, rose petals, sherry and oranges. Subsequent sips reward you with more hidden secrets like kumquats, wispy aromatic smoke, sandalwood, tobacco, and dark chocolate.”
