Now here’s something worth talking about. A whisky that’s different every time it’s bottled. This is not a single malt, but a living vatting of carefully chosen malts, which in our expert opinion, will marry perfectly. For example the current batch contains a beautiful mix of Islay and Speyside malts. Stocks are topped up and then left to marry before the next batch. - with its unique batch number – is released. These batches are always limited, always different and always a talking point. The cask is stored in the open workshop in our shop in Inveraray, pop up to see us to bottle your own! Too long a trip..? We will make sure it is done for you and sent to your door, straight from Loch Fyne.
Official tasting notes: Fresh creamy vanilla aromas with a dry citrus burst, fresh pine needle and lovely fresh oakiness, it opens nicely with time to reveal fresh apple, pear and rhubarb with a sweet heather bouquet. It has a creamy mouth-feel with a waxy texture, carrying a lot of flavour, autumn fruits with cherry, peaches and plums combining well with a dry wood spice and a little cinnamon. Adding a touch of water releases a more softer sweeter flavour, marshmallow and creamy coconut with a hint of wood smoke on the finish. A most perfect, warming beach bonfire companion. Please note: Our Loch Fyne Whiskies products are presented in handmade glass bottles. Due to their handmade nature, these bottles can show small imperfections such as grooves and seams in the glass.
